Meticulous tailoring for the elegant men
A small tie-maker’s shop is the origin of this Spanish menswear brand based in Seville. Behind it lies the elegance of the current Duke of Feria, Rafael Medina, considered a 21st-century dandy. The company grew gradually, offering a tailoring service and customised shirts, all made from the best materials.
The success of its ties and impeccable tailoring in smart modern styles led to its first ready-to-wear collection, which includes shirts, jumpers, belts and trousers for day and evening attire. Its Spring/Summer 2008 collection also added polo shirts, ties and swimsuits. Particularly famous are its Black Label slippers, made for bold wearers using velvet, cashmere and embroidery. These are also available for women in its latest collection.
New arrivals include dinner jackets, bow-ties and sashes, once again proving that good dress sense is synonymous with modern-day man.
In 2010 Scalpers opened its flagship store in Madrid. It has other shops in Seville, Bilbao, Valencia, Gijón, Alicante, Pamplona, La Moraleja and Majadahonda. In its modern premises, art is blended with fashion, and the brand now offers everything from men’s ready-to-wear to personalised tailoring.
The brand regularly takes part at the Pitti Uomo tradeshow in Florence and has a workforce of 40 people. Its main international markets include Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Republic of Korea, Japan and the USA.
